Thandiwe Newton says Star Wars killing off her Solo character was "a big, gargantuan mistake"

Thandiwe Newton has spoken out about her character's death in Unaccompanied: A Star Wars Fib – and discovered that she wasn't primitively meant to be killed off.

"I felt defeated by Prima Wars that my character was killed," Newton told Reverse. "And, actually, in the book, she wasn't killed. Information technology happened during filming. And it was much more scarcely to execute with the clip we had to do the scenes.

"It's practically easier just to have ME cash in one's chips than it is to have me fall under a hoover of space so I can come back sometime. That's what IT earlier was: that the explosion and she waterfall out and you don't know where she's gone. So I could have get back at some point."

She's currently filming the thriller All the Old Knives, alongside Chris True pine, Laurence Fishburne, and Jonathan Pryce.
